Great visit of Dr. Sanabria to our laboratory!

Dr. Hugo Sanabria (Associate Professor, Clemson University) visited us last week in the context of an ongoing collaboration between our labs to characterize the domain swapping mechanism of the human transcription factor FoxP. In this collaboration, our laboratory contributes with the expertise in using molecular dynamics and classic biophysical strategies to study FoxP, whereas the Single Molecule Biophysics Lab (http://smblab.sites.clemson.edu) of Dr. Sanabria allows the use of smFRET to characterize the folding and oligomerization of these proteins at the single molecule level.

During his stay in Chile, we visited the Advanced Microscopy Unit of our Institution (http://microscopia.uc.cl), and we will soon be using the available TIRF microscope that is suitable to perform exciting protein biophysics experiments.

Thanks for your visit, Hugo!
